Rennicks Richard Private, Leinster Regiment, 7th Bn. 5394. Born in Ardbraccan on 30 April 1894. Son of Bernard and Jane Rennicks (Nee Reilly), Ardbraccan. Brother of Thomas Rennicks Enlistment Location: Navan Secondary unit: 28008 Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. Died of wounds, France, 8 March 1917. Merial: I.C. 24, Loker Churchyard. Richard Rennicks aged 22 years 7th Leinster Regiment killed in action near Locre 8 March 1917 (Roll of Honour Ardbraccan Church now in St. Mary's Navan). "Six young men from Ardbraccan, named Joe Lynch, Wm Rennicks, Wm Reilly have joined the Inniskilling Fusiliers. They formerly belonged to Ardbraccan Corps, I.N.V.". Meath Chronicle 2 October 1915. "Intelligence of the death from wounds of Pte Richard Rennicks reached Ardbraccan last week. He was a universal favourite and was nine months in France. He was being conveyed on the back of a comrade named Masterson out of the firing line when death ensued. The decased whose death is deeply regretted was a member of Bohermeen Football Club.
